Ryan Mandell, Senior Vice President & General Counsel
Ryan Mandell first joined ITS Logistics at the start of 2022 and currently serves as Senior Vice President & General Counsel. He is a member of the Senior Leadership team, manages the organization’s insurance program, and leads the legal, risk, compliance, and claims departments. He was drawn to ITS because of the leadership team, energetic culture, high growth business model, and opportunity within the logistics industry.
Ryan is a licensed Nevada attorney with a diverse legal background. With over twenty (20) years of combined litigation and in-house corporate counsel experience, he has advised governing boards and executive leadership, managed legal teams, litigation, and insurance portfolios, and has been involved in litigated matters, arbitrations and mediations representing both individuals and entities. He has tried numerous jury and bench trials to verdict, appeared in courtrooms throughout the State of Nevada, and presented oral arguments before the Nevada Supreme Court.
Immediately prior to joining ITS, Ryan was an in-house counsel for Bryan Health, a large health system in Lincoln, Nebraska. Before that, he served almost four years with one of Northern Nevada’s largest health systems, Renown Health, initially as the first ever Deputy General Counsel and then interim Chief Legal Officer.
Before transitioning into the world of corporate counsel, for over thirteen (13) years Ryan was a partner and shareholder, respectively, at the law firm of Georgeson Angaran, Chtd. providing legal consultation with a focus on risk mitigation and civil litigation involving numerous practice specialties. Ryan started his legal career in 2002, serving as the sole law clerk for a United States Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the District of Nevada.
Ryan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Nevada, Reno and a Juris Doctorate from Mercer University. He is a Nevada native, born and raised in Reno, and is happily married with three children. His children are each very active in their respective sports, which keep Ryan and his wife busy with tournaments, practices, and cheering the kids on. Ryan enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family in his spare time.
