Haris Hamid serves as the Vice President of Product and Innovation at ITS Logistics, where he leads a dynamic team focused on developing cutting-edge, internal user-facing, and external customer and carrier-facing products. With a vision to streamline processes and enhance efficiency, Haris is dedicated to creating best-in-class user experiences within the logistics sector.

In his role, Haris is committed to transforming ITS into an integrated ecosystem, redefining the approach to develop Technology Systems as a cohesive unit rather than standalone products. His strategic goal is to interconnect various systems within the company, fostering collaboration and mutual support to deliver unparalleled experiences across the board.

This is Haris’ first position at ITS Logistics, but he comes with a vast background in product development. He previously worked at notable companies like Flexport, a global technical logistics company, where he played a role of building TMS and internal tools to drive automation for two years. Before that, Haris spent six years at Amazon, focusing on reverse logistics. During this time, he managed returned items and was involved in developing routing systems, marketplaces and various analytical tools to drive efficiency.

With ten years in the logistics industry, Haris has worked in both B2B and B2C settings, showcasing broad expertise in various logistics aspects. Haris holds an MS in Electro-mechanical Systems from University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business. Starting as an engineer in the automotive sector, he designed intricate technical components. After earning an MBA, Haris shifted to customer-facing products in reverse logistics, emphasizing the importance of a holistic ecosystem. His innovative approach later led him to forward logistics, concentrating on global freight and the intricate dynamics within the supply chain.

Haris' diverse background and commitment to creating connected ecosystems make him well-suited to contribute to innovation and excellence within the logistics field at ITS.

Outside of work, Haris is a dedicated family man, and loves to spend time with his wife and three children. An avid sports enthusiast, he enjoys watching basketball, cricket, and tennis in his down time.
