FROM THE ARTICLE: Two more trucking companies have joined the federal Freight Logistics Optimization Works (FLOW) program, the Department of Transportation announced on LinkedIn.
ITS Logistics and RoadEx America signed onto the initiative to better share data across supply chains, alongside integrated freight services platform Shippabo.
FLOW, a public-private partnership, provides daily aggregated data showing capacity and throughput to help anticipate and respond to disruption.
ITS Logistics SVP Adam Angle told Trucking Dive the program provides end-to-end supply chain visibility, which is an advantage to the operations of the drayage provider and its customers.
“It’s the steamship lines; it’s the chassis providers,” he said. “All those other contributors in there allow us to A) perform better as a trucking partner, [and] B) be a supply chain consultant, more than just ... domestic ground transportation for our customers.”
