Born and raised in the Reno area, Dan received his accounting degree from the University of Nevada, Reno and immediately began his career as a Certified Public Accountant with Deloitte in 1991 in taxation. He spent the next nine years with one of the world’s largest accounting firms, Grant Thornton International on the assurance side and attained the role of Senior Assurance Manager. Then in 1999, Dan co-founded ITS Logistics with long-time friends Jeff Lynch and Darryl Bader.
Dan was a co-founder of ITS Logistics and served as Chief Financial Officer from 1999 until 2017. He was responsible for the overall finances of the organization, human resources, recruiting and retention, and information technology. He also served as interim CEO in 2018.
Dan has extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, GAAP financial statements and strategic planning. He is also actively involved in the community serving as past CFO for the Reno-Sparks Chamber of Commerce, President of the College of Business Alumni Association, Financial Advisory Board of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and Secretary of the Reno-Tahoe Winter Games Coalition. Dan currently sits on the Board of the Nevada Transport Association.
