As Vice President of Operations, Zak Urrutia oversees the ITS Logistics distribution and fulfillment division and constantly works to refine processes and build efficient teams that support sustained growth and the constant pursuit of operational excellence. The continuous improvements and operational enhancements that he and his team spearhead make life better for the company, its team members, and its customers.

Zak is an organized and highly analytical leader with more than 19 years of logistics industry experience. He joined ITS Logistics in August of 2020 as Senior Director of Operations, overseeing all aspects of distribution and fulfillment sales and services with a focus on readying the division for rapid growth. Before joining ITS Logistics, Zak spent over 15 years working for a global leader in the technology and distribution market, where he held numerous leadership positions in several different areas.

Zak’s logistics journey began as a summer job when he was 17 years old, where he discovered he had a knack for overcoming the daily challenges that are so typical in a fast-paced logistics and manufacturing environment. What started as a summer job developed into a rewarding career where Zak’s passions for leadership, employee development, operational excellence, and continuous improvement have since developed.

When he’s not ruthlessly analyzing processes or launching another ITS distribution and fulfillment campus, Zak enjoys hiking and spending time in Nevada’s outdoors, at Wolf Pack athletic events, and hanging out with his friends and family – especially his wife and son. While most of his favorite places to go in the state aren’t official trails, two of his favorite northern Nevada trails are the Wheeler Peak and the Mount Rose Summits.
